In this era of digital transformation, companies try to digitize their existing processes & workflows.

Sometimes they invest in expensive technology that stays underused and does not bring the desired ROI to maximise collaboration within the workspace. As a result, some of these tools are now gathering dust in the corner of the meeting room.

Many companies still rely on local servers & on-premises software that hinder remote teamwork and prevent employees from using enterprise software on their mobile devices.

This allows teams to work together from anywhere, at any time and on any device.

Interoperability

A lack user convenience is another reason why some tools are not being used. When implementing new technology, the focus is sometimes too much on technical matters.

Collaboration technology should be making people’s daily work life easier, not more complex. For example, the interoperability between different UC platforms, hardware & operating systems is very important for user comfort, when people have work sessions with both internal workers and external partners.

We all prefer a new tool that works seamlessly with the tools we’re already using, right?

Simple & intuitive

Collaboration tools also have to be simple & intuitive to lower the threshold for daily use. New tools are often not welcomed and often means having to overcome resistance.

Once employees are convinced that the tools are easy-to-use, and will change the way they work for the better, they will become essential very fast.
